General Manager
Job summary
The General Manager will provide leadership across all garage functions, establish operational standards, monitor performance, manage resources, and identify opportunities to grow the garage's customer base and revenue.

Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and direction for garage operations.
- Develop and implement operational plans aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Ensure efficient coordination between service reception, workshop operations, parts, quality control, and administration.
- Establish and monitor standard operating procedures for garage activities.
- Monitor daily garage operations and ensure effective utilization of facilities, equipment, and manpower.
- Develop and monitor garage revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor service revenue, repair costs, labour costs, parts costs, and other operating expenses.
- Develop strategies to increase customer acquisition, repeat business, and revenue.
- Monitor outstanding customer payments and support effective debt collection
- Prepare periodic operational and financial reports for management.
- Establish high standards for customer service and satisfaction.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and service-related disputes.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements.
- Ensure customers receive clear information regarding diagnosis, repair requirements, costs, and expected completion timelines.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and disciplinary processes in conjunction with HR.
- Identify technical and professional development needs.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, discipline, and professionalism.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels across workshop operations.
- Oversee the procurement and management of spare parts, lubricants, tools, and workshop consumables.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
- Monitor parts usage and minimize wastage, losses, and unauthorized usage.
- Work with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and service terms.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of a BSC
- 5 years of previous experience in a similar role
