Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design Development: Create detailed designs and technical drawings for wood joinery products, including furniture, cabinetry, and custom pieces.
- Material Selection: Recommend appropriate materials and finishes based on design requirements and client specifications.
- Prototyping: Collaborate with the production team to develop prototypes, ensuring designs are feasible for manufacturing processes.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize CAD software and other design tools, specifically V-ray, Blender, and Revit, to create and modify designs efficiently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in furniture or product design, preferably within a wood joinery environment.
- Proficiency in V-ray, Blender, and Revit software, along with other CAD and graphic design tools.
- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and joinery methods.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- The candidates should have a strong preference for furniture designers who have worked within the wood domain and possess prior experience with reputable and well-known companies.
