Job summary

A Front Desk Officer is the first point of contact for visitors and clients, responsible for creating a positive first impression of the organization. The role involves managing reception duties, handling inquiries, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Manage appointments, meetings, and room bookings.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable reception area.
  • Provide basic information to clients, customers, and visitors.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record keeping.
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.
  • Ensure security procedures are followed (e.g., visitor logs, ID checks).
  • Coordinate with other departments to support office operations.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of OND/HND or a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
  • Proven experience in a front desk, receptionist, or customer service role (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with office equipment (phones, printers, scanners).
  • Basic data entry and record management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
