We are seeking an experienced Front Desk Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the reception area, ensuring that guests receive professional, efficient, and welcoming service at all times. This role will involve supervising front desk staff, coordinating shift activities, and maintaining smooth communication.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise, train, and mentor Front Desk Officers to ensure professionalism, efficiency, and adherence to service standards.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the front desk to ensure smooth service delivery and high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure the front desk is adequately staffed at all times by preparing and managing staff shift schedules.
  • Improve front desk efficiency by streamlining processes, managing guest flow, and minimizing wait times during check-in and check-out
  • Ensure all guest check-in and check-out procedures are handled accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Monitor reservations, room allocations, and room availability to ensure proper coordination with housekeeping and other departments.
  • Supervise the preparation and review of daily operational reports, including occupancy levels, guest feedback, and service issues.
  • Monitor front desk cash handling, billing procedures, and daily financial transactions to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Ensure all front desk staff comply with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), service protocols, and operational policies.
  • Support budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting activities to assist management in decision-making.


Requirements:

  • Minimum BSc
  • 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
Excellent verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills. Strong leadership supervision and team coordination abilities. Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organization multitasking and time management abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling records correspondence and reports. Professional appearance demeanor and the ability to remain composed in fast-paced environments. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion. Proficiency in front desk operations including guest check-in/check-out procedures visitor management and reception protocols. Knowledge of guest service standards complaint resolution techniques and maintaining a welcoming guest experience. Experience in supervision and coordination of front desk staff shift scheduling and team management. Proficiency in reservation systems property management systems (PMS) and booking tools. Knowledge of cash handling billing and front desk reporting procedures. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) for task management reporting and communication. Basic understanding of email systems scheduling tools calendar management and database entry. Working knowledge of health safety and hotel security guidelines. Coordination with housekeeping maintenance and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
