Successful candidates will write weekly articles - mainly news with the occasional longer feature, or they will produce and edit a video every week or maybe even a mix of the two. The successful candidate will Researching information on specific news stories Developing stories and moving them on digital platform Write accurate and engaging articles Develop and maintain contacts Editing articles Conducting interviewing and editing for video Required Professional Background Degree in journalism Extensive experience acquired within a local media (TV, radio, print, design) 5 Years minimum experience as a field reporter (stories, start ups, interviews) etc, etc Expert video editing skills Strong awareness of and interest in local news, local sport, local people, lifestyle. Wide journalistic network is an added advantage Profile Have the ability to develop strong contacts Proactive, self-initiative, responsiveness Real autonomy, adaptability Needs to have own laptop
