Job Description/Requirements

  • Responsible to the Application Administrator and head of Information technology unit
  • He / She is charged with the mandate of the maintenance of all software applications to support business needs.
  • He / She is charged with the responsibility of rendering administrative support to end users on various applications.
  • He / She is charged with the duties of optimizing software application performance, installation of patches and performing debugging operations
  • He / She is charged with documentation of routine activities, maintenance of software applications for optimal performance. 
  • He /She is charged with a deep knowledge of system functionalities, script interpretation.
  • He / She is charged with good knowledge and exposure to numerous financial systems particularly a core banking application (flexcube)
  • He /She is charged with basic knowledge of SQL
  • He/she is charged with the knowledge of oracle solution and enterprise financial solution
  • He / She is charged with the knowledge of other business support applications

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provision of extensive application support to users within the organization as may be assigned by the unit head of application support admin
  • To report to the unit head-on all observations arising from routine activities carried out.
  • To perform functional analysis of application software and provide recommendations to the vendor or developer for improvement
  • To understand end-user business need on a platform and relate with the head of the unit for implementation.
  • To carry out routine application maintenance under the supervision of the head of unit 
  • Report all abnormalities observed on a software application to the head of unit and the software developer.
  • Ensure effective functionality of back end and front end application with strict guidance from the head of the application support unit
  • Relate with all stakeholders by gathering information on system improvement needs.
  • To identify application errors, relate with the developers for improvement and follow up to ensure completion of fixes.
  • To keep record of configuration changes, necessary system updates and version control management
  • To document application processes, user management and monitor system performance
  • To troubleshot application issues and proactively take measures to address issues.
  • To advise the necessary team on the implementation of system security standards
  • To monitor and support other alternative delivery channels
  • To work with the other team members in carrying out routine activities such as EOD/EOM and patch updates
  • Provide application supports to the end-users

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES

  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Computer science or any other equivalent courses
  • Minimum of 5years work experience as an Information technology support in a financial organization.
  • Possession of any IT related professional certification like ITIL is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of programming language and interpretation of programming scripts

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Computer science and other related courses
  • A compulsory experienced knowledge in the management and support of flexcube application
  • Compulsory knowledge of enterprise solution
  • Compulsory knowledge of oracle application and basic programming skills
