Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Supervisor to manage vehicle operations, maintenance, and driver performance. The ideal candidate will ensure efficiency, safety compliance, and cost control while supporting the logistics and operations teams to achieve smooth service delivery.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Fleet Operations Management:

  • Develop and implement fleet management strategies that improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and operating costs to optimize resource use and support business goals.


Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules in collaboration with the technical team.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet manufacturer and safety standards, conduct inspections, and plan lifecycle replacements to reduce downtime.


Driver Supervision:

  • Supervise drivers to ensure adherence to safety protocols, professional conduct, and operational discipline.
  • Monitor performance, review schedules, and promote a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement.


Procurement and Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate with the Procurement and Finance teams to source high-quality parts, materials, and services at optimal cost.
  • Evaluate suppliers, maintain procurement records, and ensure compliance with company policies.


Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all vehicles comply with licensing, insurance, and roadworthiness standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date fleet documentation, including renewals, inspections, and compliance records.


Vendor and Stakeholder Management: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with workshops, suppliers, insurers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Negotiate favorable service agreements, track performance, and ensure adherence to service level commitments.


Fleet Budgeting & Reporting:

  • Prepare and manage the fleet budget, ensuring effective cost control and performance monitoring.
  • Track expenses, fuel efficiency, and maintenance trends, and generate periodic reports to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of a B.Sc. qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience. 
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  •  Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
