Fleet Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the Fleet team and coordinate the daily availability and deployment of riders, drivers, and vehicles in line with operational requirements.  
• Prepare work schedules, assign responsibilities, and ensure adequate fleet coverage across operating hours and service locations. 
• Lead the sourcing, onboarding, verification, and management of reliable third-party delivery and fleet partners. 
• Ensure accurate records of riders, drivers, vehicles, licences, insurance, permits, and other required documentation are maintained. 
• Confirm that delivery partners and assigned vehicles comply with the company’s safety, service, documentation, and regulatory requirements. 
• Collaborate with the Order Management and Operations teams to ensure suitable delivery partners are available and assigned based on location, capacity, and service requirements. 
• Monitor fleet availability, utilization, trip progress, delivery completion, and partner performance against agreed service standards. 
• Oversee the investigation and resolution of accidents, breakdowns, misconduct, service failures, and other fleet-related incidents. 
• Review completed trips and supporting records to facilitate accurate and timely payment to delivery partners. 
• Monitor the Fleet team’s performance, provide guidance and feedback, and ensure agreed operational targets are achieved. 
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on fleet availability, utilization, partner performance, incidents, costs, and outstanding issues, while recommending improvements to Management.   

Requirements:

• A HND, or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.  
• At least three years of relevant experience in fleet coordination, transport operations, dispatch, or logistics, including supervisory or team-lead experience. 
• Strong understanding of third-party fleet management and asset-light logistics operations. 
• Experience sourcing, onboarding, supervising, and managing riders, drivers, vehicle owners, and transport vendors. 
• Knowledge of vehicle documentation, road safety requirements, maintenance processes, insurance, and regulatory compliance. 
• Proven ability to maintain adequate fleet availability and coordinate multiple delivery partners. 
• Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and relationship-management skills. 
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate fleet, partner, incident, and trip records. 
• Ability to analyze fleet data, monitor performance indicators, and recommend practical improvements. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and relevant fleet or logistics platforms. 
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond promptly to operational disruptions. 
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on operational requirements. 
• A reliable, accountable, safety-conscious, and results-driven approach to work.
