Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Fleet Officer to support the efficient management of our leased vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking vehicle usage, maintaining bus documentation, monitoring vehicle condition, supporting driver oversight, and assisting in repossession efforts when and where required.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Driver and Financial Oversight:
- Implement and monitor systems to track driver outstanding balances
- Work closely with bus coordinators to follow up on defaults
Vehicle Tracking & Monitoring:
- Monitor vehicle locations, routes, and usage using GPS tracking systems
- Report any unusual activity or discrepancies
- Assist in evaluating route efficiency and recommending improvements
Route & Usage Oversight:
- Maintain logs of vehicle routes and usage patterns
- Ensure compliance with approved bus usage policies
Documentation Compliance:
- Liaise with drivers and KYC Manager to ensure timely renewal of necessary documentation
- Monitor, record, and ensure the prompt payment of any fines or dues issued against company buses
Vehicle Maintenance Monitoring:
- Liaise with bus coordinators to document any issues identified from regular inspections of vehicle condition and report issues
- Conduct enhanced KYC inspections
- Maintain records of vehicle performance, mileage, and repairs
Bus Advertising:
- Ensure bus adverts are on allocated buses
- Liaise with Communications Officer to ensure all advertising dues are paid
Repossession Support:
- Assist in locating and recovering vehicles due for repossession
- Collaborate with recovery teams and provide necessary documentation
- Handle sensitive repossession tasks with professionalism and discretion
Reporting & Administrative Support:
- Maintain fleet data and prepare periodic reports for management
- Ensure proper filing of all fleet-related documents
- Assist with any other fleet-related administrative duties as required
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in transport management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of ND/HND in any discipline
- Experience in fleet operations, logistics, or administrative support
- Familiarity with vehicle tracking systems and fleet management tools
- Good understanding of KYC and documentation processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel for inspections or field assignments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or fleet management software
- Valid driver’s licence
