Financial Controller

Responsibilities:

The candidate’s responsibilities may include inter alia:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
• Monitor and analyse financial metrics and KPIs to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Present financial reports and findings to senior management and stakeholders, providing recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor budget variances and proactively identify and address potential issues or discrepancies.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize budget utilization and improve financial efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives and business expansion plans.
• Conduct financial analysis and scenario modelling to assess potential risks and opportunities and informed decision-making.

Financial Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, as well as internal policies and procedures.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Coordinate audits and regulatory filings, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reports and disclosures.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
• Promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration to drive overall organizational success.

Requirements:

• A University degree;(including or similar to the following disciplines): Finance, Accounting
• Proven experience (10 years) in a financial leadership role, preferably within the fintech industry.
• MBA or ICAN designation preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations, with a strong understanding of fintech trends and technologies
