Our client, a company in the Financial Technology space, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic team. The Financial Controller will play a critical role in overseeing all financial activities of the company, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring financial compliance and accuracy.

Responsibilities:
The candidate’s responsibilities may include inter alia:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Monitor and analyse financial metrics and KPIs to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Present financial reports and findings to senior management and stakeholders, providing recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget variances and proactively identify and address potential issues or discrepancies.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize budget utilization and improve financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives and business expansion plans.
- Conduct financial analysis and scenario modelling to assess potential risks and opportunities and informed decision-making.
Financial Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Coordinate audits and regulatory filings, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reports and disclosures.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
- Promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration to drive overall organizational success.
Requirements:
- A University degree;(including or similar to the following disciplines):Â Finance, Accounting
- Proven experience (10 years) in a financial leadership role, preferably within the fintech industry.
- MBA or ICAN designation preferred.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations, with a strong understanding of fintech trends and technologies
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
