Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and publication of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Compliance & Auditing: Coordinate with external auditors and ensure all tax filings and financial records comply with statutory regulations (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and government requirements.
- Internal Controls: Design, implement, and monitor accounting policies and procedures to minimize financial risk and prevent fraud.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist leadership in the operating budget preparation and track KPIs, summarizing spending trends and investigating budget deficiencies.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor accounting staff, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger teams.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant.
- 8+ years post-qualification.
- 3+ years as Financial Controller/Senior Finance Manager.
- Strong IFRS knowledge, ERP experience, advanced Excel.
- Preferred: telecom, power/energy, engineering, construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, or industrial services background.
- Highly commercial, hands-on, process-driven leader comfortable building finance systems from scratch.
