Job summary

Sojay Automations Limited is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst in Abuja to provide financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis for oil & gas and industrial automation projects. The role supports management decision-making through project finance evaluation, cost control, and profitability analysis.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely financial advice to management on the performance, risks, and profitability of current and proposed oil & gas projects.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models, forecasts, and projections to support project planning, investment decisions, and long-term strategy.
  • Analyze project costs, revenues, and cash flows, and translate financial data into clear recommendations for decision-making.
  • Support evaluation of new opportunities, bids, and expansions by assessing financial viability, sensitivities, and risk exposure.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against projections, identify variances, and recommend corrective or optimization actions.
  • Prepare financial reports, scenarios, and dashboards to guide management on short-, medium-, and long-term financial outcomes.
  • Work closely with commercial and project teams to ensure financial assumptions align with contract terms and execution realities.


Requirements;

  • Bachelor’s degree or MSc in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 4–6 years’ proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role within EPC, automation, oil & gas, or infrastructure project environments.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with hands-on experience in project budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Solid understanding of project finance, cost control, and commercial drivers in contract-based operations.
  • High proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools, with strong attention to detail and professional communication skills.
  • Experience in oil & gas, EPC, or industrial automation projects
  • Familiarity with ERP or financial reporting systems 
  • Knowledge of project-based accounting and cash flow management
