Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Accounting;
- Oversees the day-to-day finance function, maintaining accurate accounting records using Xero accounting software, and ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Prepares monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and performance dashboards for the Partners.
- Manages vendor payments, payroll, and intercompany transactions across entities.
- Ensures compliance with tax, regulatory, and audit requirements (FIRS, LIRS, CAC, etc.). coordinating with external auditors and tax consultants.
Treasury & Banking:
- Manages all banking relationships, ensuring optimal liquidity and cost-efficient operations across multiple accounts and currencies.
- Monitors and forecasts cash flows, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operating and investment activities.
Budgeting & Financial Planning:
- Supports the preparation of the firm’s annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Tracks budget performance, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Provides financial data to management to guide decision-making.
Reporting & Internal Controls
- Prepares quarterly and annual financial reports for management, investors, and regulatory purposes.
- Identifies areas of opportunity to improve accounting procedures and financial processes
- Provides on-time and accurate data to management for use.
Strategic Support & Growth
- Works closely with Partners to strengthen financial infrastructure as the firm scales across multiple verticals.
- Provides financial insights to support decision-making across advisory and investment activities.
- Serves as finance liaison between the firm, its investors, auditors, banks, and regulators.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of Experience
- Minimum of a BSc
- Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
