Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide monthly/quarterly rolling forecasts.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and present insights to the executive team.
- Strategic Growth: Analyze market trends and competitor data to identify opportunities for expansion or cost-saving.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations while maintaining robust internal controls.
- Team Leadership: Oversee accounting/accounts payable/receivable teams and foster a culture of professional development.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor liquidity and manage investment strategies to optimize company capital.
- Develop long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with corporate objectives and market trends
- Develop and enhance internal reporting processes
Requirements:
- Possess a bachelor's degree with a 2:1 in accounting or finance with 6 years of continuous experience in finance and 2 years in a managerial position within a banking or financial sector
- Relevant professional qualification in ICAN, ACCA
- Must be currently working with a financial or banking institution
- BankOne Accounting Software knowledge is an added advantage
- A master's degree in accounting or finance is an added advantage
- Knowledge of the use of the BankOne core application is an added advantage
- Experience in building and maintaining financial models and driving business decision support
- Advanced level of business and commercial acumen
- A proven track record of using data to solve complex business problems.
- Sound financial presentation method.
- Experience in preparing professional reports and presentations
- Good use of Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Bankone.
