We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Liaison Officer to oversee and support the financial operations of the group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, effective budgeting, reporting, and coordination across multiple business units

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper financial procedures and controls are implemented, monitored, and reviewed.
  • Prepare financial analyses, reports, and management statements.
  • Lead budget preparation, execution, monitoring, and supervision.
  • Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations.
  • Respond to and resolve payment-related queries.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, accounts receivable/payable, accruals, and fixed asset depreciation scheduls.
  • Issue Purchase Orders and confirm orders.
  • Analyze and reconcile monthly petty cash accounts (Lagos and other branches).
  • Issue cheques and follow up on transfer instructions.
  • Prepare quotations and invoices.
  • Manage payroll preparation and administration.
  • Handle tax preparation, filing, and payments (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, etc.).
  • Maintain proper audit trails and liaise with internal and external auditors.
  • Support budget monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting in collaboration with operations.
  • Ensure financial data security and proper database backups.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to enhance financial efficiency.


Requirements:

  • HND or BSc in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within a structured, multi-site organisation (logistics industry experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in at least one accounting software/ERP system.
  • Relevant professional certification or membership (ICAN, ACCA, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, tax accounting, and corporate finance.
  • Excellent organisational, coordination, and planning skills.
  • Close attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
