Job summary
We are seeking a highly driven, target-oriented, and field-active Loan Officer / Field Marketer to join our team in Mowe, Ogun State. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving loan portfolio growth, deposit mobilization, customer acquisition, and portfolio quality through aggressive field marketing and sound credit appraisal.

Responsibilities:
Customer Acquisition & Business Development:
- Source, identify, and onboard new customers for loan, savings, and deposit products.
- Actively market the Bank’s products and services to individuals, groups, and businesses.
- Conduct market surveys and field prospecting to identify new business opportunities.
- Open customer accounts while ensuring complete KYC documentation and compliance.
Credit Appraisal & Loan Processing:
- Conduct detailed credit appraisals, including cash flow analysis, character assessment, and guarantor verification.
- Prepare accurate and complete loan applications for Credit Committee review and approval.
- Ensure all loan documentation is properly completed before submission.
Loan Disbursement & Monitoring:
- Disburse approved loans in line with Bank policies and procedures.
- Monitor loan utilization to ensure funds are used for approved purposes.
- Conduct regular follow-up visits to monitor business performance and repayment capacity.
Recovery & Portfolio Management:
- Ensure prompt loan repayments through proactive follow-up and relationship management.
- Manage delinquent accounts and implement recovery strategies where necessary.
- Maintain high portfolio quality with Portfolio at Risk (PAR) below the acceptable threshold.
Deposit Mobilization & Cross-Selling:
- Mobilize deposits through aggressive marketing of savings and fixed deposit products.
- Cross-sell additional banking products and services to existing and prospective customers.
- Provide financial advisory support to customers where required.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to all KYC, AML/CFT, and internal compliance requirements.
- Escalate suspicious activities and compliance concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, loan files, and deposit accounts.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on marketing activities, portfolio performance, and business development.
Requirements:
- Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in microfinance, banking, loan marketing, or field sales
- Proven experience in deposit mobilization and loan portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of credit appraisal and loan recovery processes.
- Must reside in Mowe or nearby environs within Ogun State – proximity is highly important for effective field coverage and punctuality.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field and meet aggressive targets.
- Strong knowledge of KYC/AML compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital banking tools.
