Job Description/Requirements
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Create and enforce internal and external financial policies and strategies, oversee comprehensive reporting to the Leadership Team and the board, and lead audit processes.
- Oversee the organization’s compliance efforts with national and global financial standards, meeting regulatory requirements promptly and accurately.
- Provide strategic financial advice, guidance, and support for financial aspects of project planning and implementation, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies while continuously improving financial processes to optimize costs.
- Stay abreast of financial regulations, trends, and best practices through relevant training and professional development activities.
- Foster effective collaboration with other departments to align financial goals with organizational objectives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; additional certifications such as ICAN, ACA, or similar certifications are advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance-related role, demonstrating strong financial management and decision-making abilities.
- Expertise in executing financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting for non-profit organizations.
- Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, oversee budget processes, ensure efficient funds allocation, and optimize resource allocation.
- Extensive experience in managing grants and donor funds, including proposal development, financial reporting, preparing financial documentation for grant applications and audits, and compliance with donor requirements.
- Proficient in preparing timely and accurate financial reports, analyzing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards through effective internal controls and procedures.
- Proficient in utilizing financial management software and tools to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure accuracy in financial data management and reporting.Â
