Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor financial performance, highlight variances, and provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions, reconciliations, and ledger updates.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and dashboards.
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic budget reviews.
- Track budget performance, control spending, and ensure compliance with approved budgets.
- Develop cost optimization strategies and monitor operational expenses.
Accounting & Compliance
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and provide all required documentation.
- Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls.
Treasury & Cash Flow
- Manage company cash flow, banking activities, loan facilities, and liquidity planning.
- Oversee fund disbursements, revenue tracking, and collection processes.
- Maintain strong banking relationships and negotiate financial terms when needed.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting team.
- Assign tasks, review work, and ensure high levels of accuracy and professionalism.
- Provide training and support to improve team performance and financial processes.
Strategic Support
- Support management in investment decisions, project feasibility analysis, and financial risk assessment.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide financial insights for business growth.
- Collaborate with other departments (sales, projects, operations) to ensure smooth financial operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum BSc
