Field Support Officer

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, install, configure, and activate POS terminals at merchant locations.
• Provide prompt on-site technical support and resolve POS-related issues.
• Conduct routine merchant visits to ensure optimal terminal performance.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Replace faulty terminals and maintain accurate terminal inventory within the assigned territory.
• Train merchants and agents on proper POS usage and transaction processes.
• Monitor terminal and transaction performance and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
• Support merchant onboarding and documentation where required.
• Ensure compliance with company operational procedures, policies, and service standards.
• Prepare and submit accurate daily and weekly field activity reports.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with merchants and agents.

Requirements:

• Minimum of OND in any relevant field.
• 1–2 years of experience in field operations, technical support, POS support, fintech, telecommunications, or a related role is preferred.
• Basic understanding of POS terminals and electronic payment solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage an assigned territory effectively.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
• Good organizational and reporting skills.
• Customer-focused attitude and ability to work under pressure.
