Job Description/Requirements

OBJECTIVES:

 Maintain a PA of 99.85% across cluster.

 Maintain 100% in Janitorial activities, PPM activities and in reporting activities.

 Quick resolution to fault diagnostics and resolution.


JOB PURPOSE

 Ensure sites are up and running at all times.


1. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Expected End Results (“WHAT”) (List the expected end results that must be achieved in order to fulfill the job purpose)

Supporting Activities (“HOW”)

(What are the key activities undertaken to achieve the desired end results?

a. Power Availability: 99.85% Others:100%

 Attend to call out within stipulated SLA.

 React to emergency faults and ensure all faults are rectified promptly within contracted SLA.

 Ensure provision of power (requisite quality) to all sites within purview 24 hours a day

 100% PPM compliance per cycle/schedule

 Monitored diesel supply quantity and quality on assigned sites and monitoring which includes weekly diesel level reports.

 24hours response time, on call (in line with MTTR policy)

 Fault management and closing details

 Site Janitorial services monthly.

 Corrective maintenance on assigned site as need arises.

 AC unit maintenance, repairs and servicing.

 ATS/AMF repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance.

 Rectifier maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting.

 DG parts replacement, top overhauling and complete overhauling and reporting on faulty components.

 Perform routine O&M procedures as prescribed for Power

 Resolution of repetitive faults affecting BTS radio network

 And other duties as assigned by management.


b. Daily Spot Checks

- Analyze diesel level for all sites

- Strict follow up on diesel delivery

 Perform daily spot checks on the various clusters on the Island. Such as the number of DG liters in the tank, which will be used to calculate the CPD (consumption per day), load balancing on the DG, site load, janitorial, any leakage in the DG fuel line and AC filling to mention but a few.

 Analyze diesel level for all sites. The first thing here is to know the number of litres supplied to the sites, the date of the supply. Capture the date you are analyzing the diesel level, by this you also have to know and state the present diesel level on that particular site. For better analysis you have to know the CPD used on that particular site and this may vary.


c. Supervise All Overhauls (Island Cluster)

- Reports

 To follow up with diesel level, you have to start from the pickup level where they are transferring it into the truck, the number of liters that is transferred into that particular truck. It is important to know that for every site there is an assigned number of liters to every site given by the customer.

 To supervise all overhauls on the Island region. For all overhauls you will be required to follow up keeping tabs on the generators that need to be overhauled, follow up with the process on the overhauls such as the spares that need to be fixed or replaced, ensuring that all necessary parts involved for the overhauling gets to the procurement department for who would communicate with the vendors and do the needful, you are to ensure that the overhauls are done within the stipulated timeline. When this is done, you are to follow up to ensure that all the JCCs (Job Completed Certificate) is duly signed off and submitted to the office to the procurement department.

 For every issue on any of the sites, you are to escalate to the necessary people in order to resolve problems and arrive at solutions to the issue.

 In identifying the issues, you are to detect the problem, the root cause and a permanent solution to the problem as this would reduce the company from waste on excess spending’s

 You are expected to send in reports capturing your day to day activities and your weekly activities. This is to capture every single detail on the site, the issues, root causes, preventive measures to the root cause and your suggested solution to the issues on all the sites on the Island cluster.

Educational Qualifications & Functional /

Technical Skills


 Min. Technical College / OND. (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering)

 Rectifier installation and repair

 AC/DC board installation and repair

 Generator installation and repair

 Generator overhauling (partial and complete)

 ATS installation and repair

 AC installation/ repair

 Trade Test 1, 2 & 3 or any certificate from a recognized certifying body


Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)

 Previous work experience of at least 2 years.


Other requirements (Behavioral etc.)


 Analytical

 Work independently

 Good foresight to preventing minor or major incidence.

 Good reporting skill.

 Good managerial and decision making skill

 Driving skill
