We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful Field Production Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of field production activities for a dynamic news and media organization.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage daily field production activities for news reports, interviews, documentaries, and special coverage assignments
  • Schedule and deploy reporters, camera operators, producers, and technical crews to assigned locations
  • Arrange logistics, including transportation, accommodation, permits, equipment, and location access for field assignments
  • Serve as the primary communication link between field teams and the newsroom or production control room
  • Monitor field operations to ensure assignments are completed on schedule and according to editorial requirements
  • Assist in planning coverage for breaking news, live events, press conferences, and special reports
  • Track crew movements, assignment progress, and production timelines
  • Ensure all required production equipment is available, functional, and properly deployed
  • Maintain accurate records of assignments, production schedules, expenses, and field reports
  • Support risk assessment and ensure compliance with safety and security protocols during field operations
  • Coordinate with government agencies, event organizers, interviewees, and external stakeholders when necessary
  • Assist producers and editors with gathering field production materials and supporting post-production requirements


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Broadcast Journalism, Media Studies, Television Production, Film Production, or a related field
  • Proven years of experience in news production, broadcast operations, field coordination, or media production
  • Strong understanding of newsroom operations, television production workflows, and field reporting processes
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production scheduling tools
  • Familiarity with broadcast equipment, ENG operations, and live news coverage
