Fiber Optics Engineer

• Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation for FTTH and long-haul fiber projects.
• Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to ensure alignment and cooperation throughout project lifecycles.
• Resource Coordination: Coordinate resources, both internal and external, to ensure timely and efficient project execution, including personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure that fiber optic installations and infrastructure meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and other disruptions.
• Progress Monitoring: Track project progress against milestones, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
• Budget Management: Monitor project expenditures, ensuring adherence to approved budgets and providing regular financial reports to management.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, reports, and correspondence, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards in all project activities, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on fiber optic network deployment.
• Strong understanding of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and long-haul fiber optic technologies, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and permitting processes related to fiber optic network deployment is a plus.
• Ability to travel as needed to project sites and meetings.
