Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage feed, vaccines, medications, and other farm inputs.
- Supervise and train farm workers to ensure compliance with operational procedures.
- Oversee day-to-day poultry farm operations (brooding, feeding, vaccination, growth monitoring).
- Ensure proper biosecurity measures and strict hygiene standards across the farm.
- Monitor bird health, identify early signs of disease, and coordinate veterinary interventions.
- Keep accurate records of production, mortality, feed consumption, and sales.
- Manage inventory, budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
- Work with management to achieve production targets and improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree / HND in Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience managing a poultry farm (layers or broilers).
- Strong knowledge of poultry production, disease control, and farm management.
- Ability to work independently and handle farm emergencies.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and basic computer applications is an added advantage.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
