Farm Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Farm Manager role located in Port Harcourt. The Farm Manager will oversee day-to-day farming operations, including planning and execution of agricultural activities, supervising farm workers, managing irrigation systems, and maintaining overall farm productivity. Responsibilities include the management of crops and livestock, ensuring optimal farm performance, monitoring farm equipment, and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day farm operations (livestock, crops, equipment, labour).

• Develop production plans and ensure targets are met.

• Supervise farm workers and allocate tasks effectively.

• Monitor animal health, feed schedules, and breeding programs.

• Oversee procurement of farm inputs and inventory management.

• Maintain farm records, budgets, and operational reports.

• Ensure compliance with agricultural standards and environmental regulations.

• Implement best practices for sustainability and productivity.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Farm Management and Agriculture to oversee and improve farm productivity.
• Knowledge and experience in Irrigation systems to ensure efficient water management.
• Strong skills in managing Farms and Poultry operations, including livestock care and management.
• Ability to lead a team effectively and communicate tasks clearly.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related fields is preferred.
• Prior experience in a similar role and knowledge of local agricultural practices are advantageous.
