Farm Administrator

Responsibilities:

Farm Records, Health Records & Daily Reporting:

• Maintain accurate livestock records, including health checks, treatments, vaccinations, deworming, births, deaths, breeding activities and animal movements.
• Complete and update all required daily farm reports and ensure records in the MDNI Farms app are accurate, current and properly filed.

Inventory & Administrative Control:

• Maintain up-to-date records for feed, medications, vaccines, farm supplies and other consumables.
• Conduct routine inventory checks, identify shortages early and report discrepancies or replenishment needs to management.

Farm Coordination & Instruction Follow-Up:

• Act as the communication link between management and farm workers, ensuring instructions are clearly understood, assigned, followed up and completed.
• Track outstanding tasks, corrections and management directives to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

Social Media, Sales & Client Communication:

• Manage MDNI Farms social media activities across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, with a target of 3-4 quality posts per week.
• Create sales videos, farm updates and educational content, respond professionally to enquiries, and support follow-up with prospective clients.

Livestock Care & Video Reporting:

• Assist with routine goat care, including health checks, feeding, cleaning, handling and other husbandry activities as required.
• Capture clear, professional photos and videos of livestock, feeding, health checks, farm activities and any specific areas requested by management.

  
  

Requirements:

• Practical knowledge of goats and basic livestock husbandry is required.
• Previous experience working on a goat or livestock farm is strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in livestock farming, farm supervision, agricultural operations, customer service, social media management or a related role.
• Previous experience creating agricultural, livestock or business content for social media is an advantage.
• Experience handling customer enquiries or WhatsApp Business is desirable.
• OND / HDN in Animal Sciences or related fields. 
• Good spoken and written English with the ability to communicate instructions clearly and professionally.
• Strong smartphone skills are essential.
• The candidate must be able to take quality photographs and videos, use WhatsApp professionally, complete and edit digital forms on a mobile phone, upload files, and submit farm reports without supervision.
• Working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, including posting, captions, comments, direct messages and basic audience engagement.
• Ability to create and edit simple short-form videos using tools such as CapCut, Canva, InShot or similar apps.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word is required, including creating, editing, formatting, saving and sharing documents.
• The candidate must also be comfortable using the MDNI Farms app, spreadsheets and other digital tools to maintain accurate livestock, health, inventory and daily operational records.
• Highly organized, observant and dependable, with strong attention to detail, data accuracy, follow-through and document control.
• Physically able and willing to participate in cleaning, feeding, handling goats and other routine farm duties.

Key Performance Expectations

• Records & Daily Reporting: Health, treatment, livestock and daily records are complete, accurate, current and updated in the farm app every day.
  
• Inventory & Administration: Feed, medications, vaccines and consumables are routinely updated; shortages, expiries and discrepancies are reported early.
  
• Coordination & Follow-Up: Management instructions, corrections and assigned tasks are communicated, tracked and closed without avoidable gaps.
  
• Social Media & Client Support: 3-4 quality posts weekly; sales content is accurate; enquiries and qualified leads are handled and followed up professionally.
  
• Livestock & Video Reporting: Reliable participation in goat-care routines with clear, timely photo and video reporting of health checks, feeding and farm activities.
