Facility Officer
Job summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facility Officer to oversee the daily management, maintenance, and resident relations of our property. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for prospective and current residents, ensuring seamless property operations, optimal utility uptime, and strict adherence to estate rules.

Responsibilities:
Marketing & Enquiries:
- Post “For Rent” advertisements for available units on online property platforms
- Receive and respond to calls/enquiries from prospective residents
- Conduct inspection visits for interested applicants
Maintenance & Repairs:
- Conduct daily inspections of generators, water supply systems, external lighting, gates, recreational facilities, and common areas
- Coordinate plumbers, electricians, technicians, and artisans for repairs and preventive maintenance
- Ensure compliance with estate rules for artisans engaged by residents
Utilities & Services :
- Monitor power supply, diesel consumption, water levels, and waste disposal services
- Liaise with utility providers: EKEDC, internet/cable providers, LAWMA waste disposal agents, etc.
- Ensure backup systems like generators and inverters are tested, fueled, and in good working condition
Resident Relations & Safety:
- Respond promptly to resident complaints/requests regarding common facilities
- Ensure residents receive rent and service charge reminder letters/invoices as and when due
- Enforce estate rules on waste disposal, parking, noise, and common area use
- Work with the security team to maintain access control and safety protocols
Record Keeping & Administration:
- Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables
- Track maintenance costs and assist in preparing monthly service charge expense reports
- Document incidents, repairs, and service schedules
- Ensure all documents are prepared, executed, and filed appropriately
Requirements:
- A minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- A minimum of 1–2 years in facility/property management, estate maintenance, or building services. Experience is an advantage
- Basic electrical/plumbing knowledge, generator troubleshooting, solar/inverter knowledge, proficiency in MS Excel/Word, strong communication skills
- Must reside within/near Majek, Sangotedo, or Abijoh axis. Physically fit, problem-solving mindset, and resident-friendly attitude
