Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting documentation.
• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses.
• Monitor inventory and stock records to ensure proper stock control.
• Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
• Assist with tax preparation and compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Monitor business expenses and support management in budgeting and financial planning.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Work closely with management to improve financial processes and controls.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience working as an Accountant.
• Experience in retail, inventory management, tax, and preferably import/export accounting.
• Professional certification, such as ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) or ANAN
• (Association of National Accountants of Nigeria) It is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
