We are seeking to recruit for the position of an Executive Assistant who will be responsible for providing operational, administrative, and legal support to the Managing Partner of a long-established law firm. The role requires a dynamic individual who can operate independently, solve problems on the spot, and maintain the highest level of discretion when working with high-profile clients.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and edit contracts, proposals, letters, and other legal/official documents to ensure accuracy and compliance before final approval by the Managing Partner.
- Manage the Managing Partner’s calendar, schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and ensure all necessary documentation and resources are prepared in advance.
- Act as the first point of contact for clients, government bodies, and partners, ensuring prompt, professional, and courteous communication while maintaining confidentiality.
- Oversee assigned tasks and projects from initiation to completion, ensuring deadlines are met without requiring constant supervision.
- Organise and attend meetings on behalf of the Managing Partner, take detailed minutes, follow up on action items, and ensure deliverables are completed.
- Attend client meetings, site inspections, and official visits; gather required documentation, take photographs/videos, and provide comprehensive reports.
- Conduct research on legal, policy, and business matters relevant to ongoing projects and prepare summaries or briefing notes for decision-making.
- Handle sensitive information with a high level of discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times, especially with government and corporate clients.
- Anticipate potential issues and resolve them independently, using sound judgment and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, leveraging interpersonal skills to advance the firm’s objectives.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or related field;
- Call to the Nigerian Bar Association is an advantage but not required.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and with precision.
- Ability to think out of the box
- High emotional intelligence, tact, and professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general tech-savviness.
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Preparation, editing, and review of contracts, proposals, letters, and agreements to a professional standard, ensuring accuracy before submission.
- Familiarity with government filings, certifications, and transactional legal work (not court appearances), especially for corporate and government clients.
- Organising meetings, setting appointments, and ensuring all logistics and documentation are in place.
- Professional engagement with high-profile clients, government officials, and partners with tact and discretion.
- Handling of sensitive information and maintenance of strict confidentiality at all times.
