Job descriptions & requirements
We are looking for an Executive Assistant who has supported a Partner, Managing Director, or
Principal inside a consulting firm. If you have run a partner's office at a Big Four, a strategy house, or a boutique advisory practice, this role was written for you. Why we are specific about consulting Consulting EAs are trained differently, and it shows. You already understand that a Partner's calendar is a commercial instrument, not a diary. You know what happens when a client deck slips by a day. You have chased a manager for a deliverable without damaging the relationship. You have sat on the phone with a client's EVP and held the conversation without needing your Partner in the room. You know which conversations never leave the office.
None of that can be taught in a quarter. We would rather hire someone who has already lived it.
What you will own
Cadence and calendar Design the Senior Partner's week around commercial priority, not request order. Enforce preparation windows, travel logic across time zones, and recovery time.
Say no on his behalf and make it land well.

Decline on his behalf, and make the decline land well.
Decision follow-through Attend or review key internal and client meetings. Convert them into
decisions, owners, and dates. Chase them to closure across the Delivery, Acquisition, and
Operations functions until they are done or formally killed.

What we are looking for
Required
● Three to seven years as an Executive Assistant supporting a Partner, Managing Director,
Principal, or Founder, with at least two of those years inside a consulting or professional services firm
● Direct experience of client-facing environments. You have interacted with client stakeholders, not only internal staff
● Excellent written English. You will write things that people act on
● Evidence that you built something rather than only operating what you inherited. A tracker, a briefing format, a handover system, a follow-up discipline. Tell us about it
● Discretion as a default setting, not a policy you comply with
● Comfort with AI tools and a willingness to automate parts of your own job
Strongly preferred
● Background at a Big Four firm, a strategy house, or a respected boutique advisory
practice
● Exposure to multi-country engagements or cross-border client work
● Familiarity with how engagements are scoped, staffed, and billed
What we are not looking for
Someone who only wants to be told what to do. In a firm of our size you will not have a partner services team, a travel desk, or a template library to fall back on. You will build those things.
We also need someone who will push back. If the Senior Partner is overcommitted, wrong about a date, or about to accept a meeting he should not, we expect you to say so. That expectation is written into this document deliberately.
Where this goes
The Office of the Senior Partner is being built as an institution, not a personal support function.
For the right person, the path runs toward Chief of Staff or a functional leadership seat as the office grows.
