Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Event Planner role based in Lagos, with a mix of on-site event work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Event Planner will manage the full event lifecycle, including initial client consultations, requirements gathering, and translating client vision into detailed event concepts and proposals. Daily responsibilities include creating event timelines, managing budgets, coordinating vendors and venues, overseeing logistics, and ensuring all design and production elements are delivered to luxury standards. The role involves conducting site visits, supervising event set-up and breakdown, and providing on-the-day coordination to guarantee smooth execution. The Event Planner will also support client relationship management, prepare post-event reports, and contribute ideas to enhance Le Prestige’s service offerings and overall guest experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Event Planning and Event Management skills, including experience coordinating multiple events, timelines, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated Communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams in written and verbal formats.
- Proficiency in Budgeting and cost management, including vendor negotiations, expense tracking, and delivering events within agreed financial parameters.
- Sales and client relationship skills, including proposal development, upselling services, and maintaining long-term client partnerships.
- Proven experience in luxury or high-end events, with an eye for design details, aesthetics, and guest experience.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfort with hybrid work, including on-site presence in Lagos for meetings and events, and remote coordination when appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with event management software, productivity tools, and basic contract and vendor management practices.
