The Evaluation, Communication & Engagement Officer will serve as CPMS's field representative, supporting project implementation, institutional engagement and communication across assigned locations. The role will engage participating schools and their Centres of Excellence, monitor and compile information on the activities and performance of ESOs

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Support engagement with participating institutions and schools where Centres of Excellence are established.
  • Visit institutions and Centres of Excellence to engage school representatives, ESOs and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor ESO activities and performance on behalf of CPMS against agreed workplans, deliverables and timelines.
  • Compile and prepare structured ESO, institutional-engagement and field-monitoring reports for CPMS.
  • Serve as a liaison between CPMS, ESOs, participating institutions, Centres of Excellence and other project stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and facilitate effective information flow between field locations and the project team.
  • Obtain and document stakeholder feedback, implementation evidence, challenges and emerging needs.
  • Collect and interpret field/project data and translate findings into clear observations, recommendations and practical follow-up actions.
  • Identify implementation gaps, risks and delays and escalate significant issues to the Project Manager.
  • Track agreed corrective actions and follow up to ensure appropriate resolution.
  • Support stakeholder meetings, consultations, project assessments, surveys and verification exercises.
  • Maintain accurate records of field visits, stakeholder engagements, ESO activities and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare periodic implementation and engagement updates for management. Travel to neighbouring states when required for approved project activities. 


Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 2–3 years' relevant professional experience in project implementation, stakeholder engagement, communication, field coordination or related functions.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and preparing structured project or field reports
  • Experience conducting institutional visits, stakeholder engagements, project monitoring or verification activities is desirable.
  • Experience working with an incubation centre, innovation hub, Centre of Excellence or enterprise-support institution is an added advantage.
  • Experience in education, enterprise development, development programmes, government or donor-funded projects is an advantage.
  • Knowledge or experience in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) is an added advantage.
