Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
- Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Perform bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Help compile financial data for management decision-making.
- Ensure accounting records are complete, organized, and up to date.
- Assist in preparing documents for internal and external audits.
- Support statutory remittances, including VAT, PAYE, pension, and withholding tax, where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial procedures.
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records.
- Assist with inventory and fixed asset record management where required.
- Respond to finance-related inquiries from internal departments.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by the Finance Manager or Accountant.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting or a related discipline.
- 0–2 years of accounting experience
- Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possession of a valid exemption certificate.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, or similar applications is an added advantage.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
