Job summary
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Entertainment Lawyer to support the company’s legal and business affairs. This role is ideal for a young legal professional with an interest in the music and entertainment industry who is eager to gain hands-on experience working with artists, record deals, and licensing
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate music-related contracts, including artist, producer, distribution, licensing, and partnership agreements.
- Provide legal support on copyright, trademarks, intellectual property, and related matters.
- Ensure the company remains compliant with applicable laws and industry regulations.
- Assist with contract administration and maintain accurate legal records.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks in business transactions.
- Support dispute resolution and liaise with external counsel when required.
- Provide legal advice to internal teams on day-to-day business operations.
- Conduct legal research on entertainment, media, and technology-related matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) and qualification to practice law in Nigeria.
- 1–2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong interest in entertainment, media, music, or intellectual property law.
- Excellent contract drafting and legal research skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
Remuneration: NGN150,000 – 300,000 Gross Monthly (Depending on Experience)
