Responsibilities:
Editorial Leadership:
- Plan, commission, and edit news stories, features, and analysis on energy markets and policy.
- Set editorial priorities aligned with organizational strategy.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, fairness, and clarity.
Content Development:
- Oversee coverage of sectors such as renewable energy, fossil fuels, power markets, energy storage, and climate initiatives.
- Edit breaking news, investigative reports, opinion pieces, and long-form features.
- Ensure content is optimized for digital platforms (SEO, headlines, metadata).
- Industry Monitoring & Analysis.
- Track global energy trends, regulatory changes, technological advancements, and corporate activities.
- Develop informed perspectives on energy transition and sustainability topics.
Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor reporters and contributors.
- Coordinate with graphics, data, and multimedia teams for visual storytelling.
- Manage freelance contributors when necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum BSC.
- 5 years of previous experience in a similar role.
