Elevator Technician

Job Summary

Precise Lighting Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Elevator Technician to join our Technical Services team.

This role is ideal for a technically competent professional with hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of elevators and vertical transportation systems. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive reliable, safe, and high-quality technical support while upholding the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and maintain elevators, escalators, and related vertical transportation systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system faults.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency breakdowns.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Replace or repair defective components including motors, controllers, sensors, door operators, and other elevator parts.
• Prepare accurate maintenance reports, service records, and technical documentation.
• Provide professional technical support and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
• Collaborate with the Engineering and Operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements

• OND, HND, Trade Test, or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in elevator installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Experience working with passenger, freight, panoramic, hospital, or commercial elevators is highly desirable.
