Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Electrical/Renewable Energy Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, marketing and selling renewable energy solutions, designing and managing renewable energy projects, delivering technical presentations, and ensuring excellence

Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for solar, inverter, UPS, battery storage, and other renewable energy solutions.
- Generate qualified leads and convert prospects into customers.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and tenders.
- Meet monthly and annual sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, hospitals, schools, financial institutions, and resellers.
- Conduct market research and monitor competitor activities.
Technical Design & Engineering:
- Conduct site surveys and energy assessments.
- Design renewable energy systems using appropriate engineering tools and software.
- Size solar PV systems, batteries, inverters, UPS systems, and other electrical equipment.
- Prepare technical drawings, single-line diagrams, load analysis, and bill of quantities.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical and safety standards.
Project Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise renewable energy installations.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Coordinate installers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Monitor project progress and prepare status reports.
- Carry out commissioning, testing, and system handover.
Client Presentations & Technical Support:
- Deliver professional presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Explain technical solutions simply and persuasively.
- Support the preparation of technical proposals and bid documents.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
- Conduct product demonstrations and customer training.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and project progress.
- Submit weekly sales, marketing, and project reports.
- Update the CRM with customer activities and opportunities.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and company safety policies.
- Promote safe work practices during installations and maintenance activities.
- Ensure quality assurance throughout project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum of an HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Professional certification such as COREN, NSE, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Certification in Solar PV Design or Renewable Energy is desirable.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in electrical engineering or renewable energy.
- A valid driver’s licence is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in solar PV system design and installation.
- Demonstrated success in technical sales or business development.
- Experience preparing technical proposals and delivering presentations.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, hybrid inverters, batteries, UPS systems, and electrical distribution.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Strong presentation and public speaking ability.
- Good project management skills.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and prepare system designs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; familiarity with PVsyst or similar solar design software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
