Electrical Technician
Job summary
Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical equipment, high-speed production machinery, and automated control systems to ensure maximum plant efficiency, safety, and compliance with food-safety standards. This role is vital for minimizing downtime in bottling, packaging, and processing lines.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and fixing electrical problems on production machinery, including motors, drives, sensors, actuators, and Allen-Bradley/Siemens PLCs.
- Performing routine inspections and repairs on AC/DC systems, conveyors, and electrical control panels to prevent breakdowns.
- Installing new wiring, electrical components, and automated equipment to improve production efficiency.
- Adhering to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections, often using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Working with production operators, maintenance mechanics, and engineering teams to address equipment issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in brewing, distilling, or the liquid beverage industry.
- Minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Remuneration: NGN200,000 - 220,000 monthly (net pay)
