Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, review, and coordinate electrical systems for building projects.
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, load schedules, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
• Supervise and inspect electrical installations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, codes, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and other building services.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure electrical works meet required quality, programme, and technical standards.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of electrical issues throughout projects.
• Provide technical input into electrical material selection, procurement, cost estimates, variations, and bills of quantities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, design conflicts, and site challenges while maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in electrical engineering, preferably within construction, real estate development, or building services.
• Proven experience supervising and coordinating electrical works on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and related systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, review, and coordinate electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP; familiarity with electrical design and calculation software is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical standards, construction practices, and health and safety requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
