Job summary
The Engineering Graduate Trainee is responsible for supporting engineering projects while undergoing structured on-the-job training to develop technical, operational, and professional competencies. The role provides exposure to engineering processes, project execution, maintenance, quality control, and safety practices to prepare the graduate.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in structured graduate trainee and development programs.
- Assist engineers in planning, designing, testing, and executing engineering projects.
- Support site inspections, project monitoring, and technical evaluations.
- Prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, and project records.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment and resolving engineering-related issues.
- Conduct research and data analysis to support engineering decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
- Participate in preventive maintenance, quality assurance, and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project delivery and operational objectives.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and technical development programs.
- Learn and apply engineering software, tools, and industry best practices.
- Perform other engineering and administrative duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Minimum of an HND in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Petroleum, or a related engineering discipline).
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possess a valid exemption certificate (where applicable).
- 0–2 years of post-graduate experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or other discipline-specific applications is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and work environments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
