Job summary

The educational counsellor is responsible for managing the end-to-end education placement journey for prospective and enrolled students — from initial inquiry and institutional applications through admission offers, tuition deposit guidance, and continuous communication until visa application handover. The role combines education advisory, application management, lead conversion, process documentation, and content participation, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, accountability, professionalism, and results.

Responsibilities:

Education Placement & Applications:

  • Advise prospective students on suitable study-abroad options, institutions, courses, requirements, and timelines.
  • Submit student applications to partner institutions through approved aggregator platforms and directly to institutions, in line with institutional guidelines.
  • Monitor application progress and maintain clear, consistent communication with institutions, aggregators, and students throughout the application process.
  • Notify students promptly of admission decisions and guide them through offer acceptance procedures.
  • Support/guide students through tuition deposit payments, payment instructions, confirmations, and required follow-up steps.
  • Maintain primary responsibility for communication with all parties involved in the education placement process, including throughout the visa application stage, until formal handover where required.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of all required documentation.

 

Sales, Conversion & Client Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage prospects from first contact through enrollment readiness and internal handover.
  • Communicate Ehis Travels’ offerings clearly, professionally, and persuasively in a manner that supports conversion.
  • Ensure proper documentation and structured handover of converted students to internal teams to enable smooth processing and commission realization.
  • Provide continuous after-sales support to enrolled students throughout the education placement journey.


Training, Partnerships & Professional Development:

  • Attend webinars, trainings, workshops, and briefings organized by partner institutions, aggregator platforms, and other education stakeholders subject to prior authorization where necessary.
  • Stay updated on changes to admission requirements, processes, timelines, and institutional policies.
  •  Apply acquired knowledge to improve client guidance, internal workflows, and conversion outcomes.


Process Documentation & SOP Development:

  • Document processes, requirements, updates, outcomes, and interactions related to education placement and admissions.
  • Capture lessons learned and operational insights to support the development and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Contribute to internal reviews aimed at improving workflows, service delivery, client acquisition, and conversion efficiency.


Content Creation & Brand Support:

  •  Actively participate in the creation of educational and edutainment-style content (videos, short clips, and informational materials) to attract prospective students and clients.
  • Appear in videos and content where required, representing the company professionally across platforms.
  • Support marketing and outreach initiatives across all company services and offerings, as assigned.


General & Cross-Functional Duties:

  • Support other operational areas when required in line with business needs.
  • Be available to work on Saturdays and outside regular hours when operationally required.
  • Attend mandatory staff trainings and meetings, including the last Saturday of every month.
  • Uphold the company’s values, reputation, confidentiality standards, and professional conduct at all times.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a b.sc in a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience.
