Drone Pilot

Responsibilities:

• Operate UAVs for land surveying, mapping, and aerial data collection
• Plan and execute drone missions using waypoints and automated flight plans
• Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks to ensure safe operations
• Capture high-resolution imagery and data for orthomosaic maps, 3D models, and terrain analysis
• Work closely with surveyors and engineers to meet accuracy and project requirements
• Ensure full compliance with NCAA regulations and company safety procedures
• Monitor weather conditions and assess site risks before flights
• Maintain drone equipment, batteries, and accessories in good working condition
• Process, organize, and submit collected survey data for analysis
• Maintain accurate flight logs, reports, and project documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating drones for surveying, mapping, or geospatial data collection
• NCAA Remote Pilot Certification or equivalent authorization to operate drones commercially in Nigeria
• Strong understanding of drone flight operations, safety protocols, and airspace regulations
• Experience with surveying and mapping software such as Pix4D, DroneDeploy, Agisoft, ArcGIS, or AutoCAD
• Knowledge of topographic surveys, land mapping, and geospatial data processing
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varied environmental conditions
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and clients
