Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate commercial trucks, tractor-trailers, or delivery vehicles to transport goods or materials between locations, following specified routes and schedules.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to check for mechanical issues, safety hazards, and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo onto trucks, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods to prevent damage or loss during transit.
- Plan routes and logistics for efficient and timely delivery, considering factors such as traffic conditions, weather, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate with dispatchers, shippers, and customers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules, update delivery status, and address any issues or delays.
- Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards while driving, including speed limits, hours of service, and weight restrictions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Minimum of an SSCE.
