Driver/Rider

Responsibilities:

Driving and Transportation:

• Safely operate company vehicles and delivery tricycles as assigned.
• Transport company staff, products, equipment, documents, and other materials to designated locations.
• Observe all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving procedures.
• Ensure punctual arrival for assigned trips, deliveries, meetings, and other company activities.
• Select safe and efficient routes to assigned destinations.
• Exercise care and caution when driving in busy areas, highways, residential areas, and difficult road conditions.
• Never operate a company vehicle or tricycle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair driving ability.
• Ensure that passengers and goods are transported safely.

Delivery Operations:

• Operate the company tricycle for the delivery of products and materials to customers, branches, stations, offices, or other designated locations.
• Confirm delivery instructions before leaving the company premises.
• Check that goods are properly loaded, secured, and protected before transportation.
• Verify delivery quantities and relevant documents before and after each delivery.
• Obtain customer acknowledgement, signatures, stamps, or other required proof of delivery.
• Report any shortage, damage, rejection, delay, or discrepancy immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain professionalism and good customer relations during deliveries.

Vehicle and Tricycle Maintenance:

• Conduct daily pre-trip checks of the assigned vehicle or tricycle.
• Check tyres, brakes, lights, oil, fuel, battery, engine condition, mirrors, and other essential components.
• Keep the vehicle/tricycle clean and in good working condition.
• Report mechanical faults, accidents, unusual noises, or other defects immediately.
• Ensure scheduled servicing and maintenance are carried out when due.
• Monitor fuel usage and report any unusual or excessive consumption.
• Ensure company vehicles are parked safely when not in use.
• Take reasonable measures to prevent theft, damage, or unauthorized use of the vehicle/tricycle.

Documentation and Accountability:

• Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle-related expenses as required.
• Ensure that all delivery notes, invoices, waybills, receipts, and other relevant documents are properly handled.
• Submit completed delivery documents and reports to the appropriate department promptly.
• Account for company goods and materials entrusted to the driver during transportation.
• Immediately report lost, damaged, missing, or incorrectly delivered items.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Use required safety equipment and protective gear when applicable.
• Report accidents, traffic incidents, injuries, vehicle damage, or safety hazards immediately.
• Ensure that the vehicle/tricycle carries required safety and emergency equipment.
• Do not allow unauthorized persons to use or operate the company vehicle or tricycle.
• Comply with all applicable government traffic and transportation regulations.

Customer Service:

• Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, suppliers, and members of the public.
• Communicate politely and respectfully with customers during deliveries.
• Handle delivery-related questions or complaints professionally and refer issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Protect the reputation and image of the company at all times.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience
• A minimum of SSCE
