Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver packages, documents, and other items to specified locations promptly and securely.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to optimize delivery times.
- Obtain signatures, confirmations, or collect payments upon delivery.
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is in good working condition and that all vehicle documents are up to date.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and drive safely at all times.
- Update logbooks and report on all matters related to the assigned motorcycle to a supervisor.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid rider's/driver's card or license.
- A minimum of one to two years of experience is often required.
- Must be familiar with local roads, often specified by the city (e.g., Lagos routes).
- Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
- Must be punctual, reliable, honest, and able to work under minimal supervision.
- Able to handle the physical demands of the job, which may include long hours.
- Good communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and supervisors.
- An SSCE/WAEC qualification or higher is often the minimum educational requirement.
