Omega Funeral Home is seeking a professional, compassionate, and reliable Driver / Funeral Operative to support our funeral services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and respectful transportation of the deceased, driving hearses and funeral vehicles, and assisting with the smooth running of funeral services.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Safely drive hearses, limousines, and company vehicles for funerals, removals, repatriations, and other company business.

Collect and transport the deceased from hospitals, mortuaries, hospices, care homes, private residences, airports, and other locations with dignity and professionalism.
- Assist funeral directors during funerals, viewings, and other services.
- Ensure all vehicles are clean, polished, fuelled, and maintained to a high standard.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Assist with loading and unloading coffins using safe manual handling techniques.
- Help prepare vehicles and equipment before funeral services.
- Deliver coffins, funeral supplies, and documentation when required.
- Maintain a respectful and compassionate approach when interacting with bereaved families and members of the public.
- Support the repatriation team with airport collections and deliveries where required.
- Follow all company policies, road traffic regulations, and health and safety procedures.
- Be available to participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours removals when required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Vocational qualification
- 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
