Job Summary
The Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of passenger shuttles or vans to and from special events and related activities following a preplanned route according to a definite time schedule. The candidate is also responsible for the maintenance of the fleet, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Operate the church's buses/shuttles safely and efficiently.
- Follow scheduled routes, chartered routes or respond to requests from the office of the Administrator for unscheduled pick-ups or drop-offs.
- Kindly assist passengers in boarding and exiting the vehicle.
- Ensure that both inside and outside of the vehicle are properly maintained
- Comply with safety regulations as required; maintain a safe working environment.
- Show willingness and ability to work with children of all ages.
- Drive buses on assigned route; recommend extension of routes or changes in schedule to provide safe service to passengers.
- Maintain daily log of vehicle inspection.
- Ensure all vehicle licenses are up to date
- Keep preventive maintenance schedule and alert the Supervisor when maintenance is due.
- Maintain an organized travel schedule.
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of at least WAEC/SSCE/WASC
- Must possess valid Driver’s License
- Must have acceptable driving record with no major traffic infractions
- Good communications skills including written and verbal
- High standards of Christian conduct
- An understanding of and commitment to the church’s mission statement and core values
- Excellent human relations, must be a team player and well-organized

Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift as required in a normal transportation environment
- Understanding of basic maintenance
- Demonstrated knowledge of traffic and highway safety rules and regulations
- Must be able to exercise judgment under time pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and understand maps, GPS and/or written instructions
- Must have stamina for sitting for extended periods, occasional standing, walking, and bending
- Able to bend, reach, climb stairs and graspÂ
