Driver

Responsibilities:

• Strict adherence to speed limits, traffic signals, road markings, and parking regulations.
• Never operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing medications.
• Avoiding handheld mobile phone use and other internal distractions while in motion.
• Ensuring that all passengers wear seat belts at all times and that the passenger count never exceeds the available belts.
• Checking essential systems (e.g., brakes, lights, tire pressure, fluid levels) before starting a journey.
• Keeping up with scheduled oil changes, tire rotations, and general maintenance.
• Ensuring all required documents—such as a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance—are up to date.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and presentable vehicle interior and exterior.
• Utilizing GPS and navigation applications to find optimal routes, factoring in potential traffic, construction, or weather delays.
• Transporting passengers or delivering goods according to established schedules and deadlines.
• Taking scheduled breaks (e.g., stopping every 2.5 hours or 150 miles on long trips) to prevent driver fatigue.
• Safely loading and unloading cargo, ensuring it is properly balanced and secured to prevent shifting or damage.
• Interacting courteously with clients, passengers, and colleagues, and assisting with boarding/disembarking or luggage as needed.
• Accurately completing delivery receipts, mileage logs, and securely handling any collected payments

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  
• Applicants must have proven driving experience.
  
• Applicants must have good knowledge of Lagos roads, especially Yaba and surrounding areas.
  
• Applicants must be able to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
  
• Applicants must be responsible, punctual, and maintain a professional attitude.
  
• Applicants must have basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
