Driver

Responsibilities:

• Safely drive company vehicles to transport staff, clients, or goods
• Plan routes and ensure timely arrival at destinations
• Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any issues
• Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and properly maintained
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, and mileage
• Assist with the loading and unloading of goods when required
• Ensure the safety and security of passengers and cargo at all times
• Handle basic vehicle troubleshooting or arrange for repairs
• Adhere to schedules and respond to last-minute travel requests

Requirements:

• Minimum of secondary school certificate (WAEC/NECO or equivalent)
• Valid driver’s license (appropriate class)
• Proven experience as a driver (corporate or personal driving experience preferred)
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
• Strong navigation and route planning skills
• Ability to read maps and use GPS systems
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Ability to identify mechanical issues early
• Record-keeping for trips and vehicle usage
• Responsible, reliable, and punctual
• High level of discipline and professionalism
• Alertness and attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Good physical condition and stamina
