Driver

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers or goods to designated locations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users.
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting regular inspections and addressing any maintenance issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers, assisting with loading and unloading luggage or goods as needed.
• Follow specified routes or navigation instructions to reach destinations on time.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues or concerns.
• Handle cash transactions or collect payment for transportation services when required.
• Assist passengers with disabilities or special needs in boarding and disembarking vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Monitor traffic conditions and adjust routes or travel times as needed to avoid delays.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to vehicle operation, safety, and customer service.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a professional driver, with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• Familiarity with Lagos roads, routes, and traffic patterns.
• Excellent driving skills, with a strong focus on safety and defensive driving techniques.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items and load/unload cargo as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Flexibility to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug/alcohol testing as required by the company.
• Any additional certifications or training related to driving or passenger transportation is a plus
