Document Controller
Job summary
The Document Controller is the information custodian of the project. On a multi-block simultaneous build with multiple consultants, many subcontractors, and thousands of drawings and documents, the document control system is not a support function; it is a project safety and quality system.

Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the project document management system; ensure all team members use the system correctly and consistently
- Maintain the master drawing register for all disciplines, including architecture, structure, MEP, civil, and specialist; update with every new issue and revision
- Issue all incoming drawings from consultants to the site team via the document management system; obtain transmission receipts
- Ensure that only current-revision drawings are accessible on site; manage the withdrawal and archiving of all superseded drawings
- Maintain all project correspondence registers: RFI log, Architect's Instruction log, site instruction log, transmittal log, and formal letter register
- Manage all incoming and outgoing formal correspondence; ensure all documents are correctly named, numbered, and filed
- Support the Design and Architectural Manager with drawing status reporting
- Archive all project documents progressively; produce the final project document archive at project closeout
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; formal document control training or certification is an advantage
- Minimum 4 years of document control experience on major construction projects
- Proficiency in Procore, Aconex, or equivalent document management platform
- Strong MS Office skills; excellent attention to detail
- Absolute precision and consistency in document naming, numbering, and filing
- Proactive in identifying and correcting document control non-compliance by other team members
- Highly organised; thrives in a high-volume information environment
